- A grain of sands could form a pearl in the oysters by accident
The oysters are like the economic of the village. This is compared to the villagers when the wealth are taken from them. They are just poor fishermen. It is the same as when the pearl is taken out of the oysters.
Scorpion
- moved delicately and slowly
- deadly poisonous
The scorpion are like the evil for Kino and his family. It shows the danger and threats that could practically happen to him.
Ants:
- Busy on the ground
- Little dusty, and quick
The ants are to represent Kino. Kino is trying to change the reality from how it naturally was. When Kino saw the ants moving, he got in their way but still the ants went over his leg.
